Not all maples will turn in autumn and non maples can change too. I am the product of media brainwashing, stereotyping maple as the symbol of autumn. During my first year as a migrant I was quite sad to see we have no maple trees nor season changing trees. Native trees like gum trees only sheds its bark.
I was expecting something like this so was quite disappointed. This photo was taken in Nikko last year. Poem inspiring scenery. I am told there is something similar in Dandenong. Might drop by one day..
Do you know there is a ginkgo tree in the Treasury Gardens?
